Where is your home? So yes, where are you really from? “Heimat. Suchend.” (Home. Searching.) shows the different perceptions of home in all its colours and facets and invites the audience to go on a search together.

In search of the meaning of home, the dancer Daria Makarova entered into an exchange with the choreographer Mila Lipicar. For it is not only the meaning of home that is wide-ranging. The dance realisation and implementation of the piece also involves a wide variety of dance styles. In order to be able to grasp the most diverse understandings of home in its entirety, Daria Makarova sets out on a search. A search that both inquires into the core of the theme and shows the different possibilities of expression of dance. This is how the work “Heimat. Suchend.” developed into a dance piece that shows contemporary dance alongside styles such as house and waacking. Because as diverse as the conception of home is, as different can be the individual dance expression.
