The Treffen junge Szene of the Berliner Festspiele combine the four national contests organized by the Berliner Festspiele: Theatertreffen der Jugend, Tanztreffen der Jugend, Treffen junger Autor*innen and Treffen junge Musikszene. The competitions are funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

The jury has made its selection for the Treffen junger Autor*innen from the entries: 20 authors from 10 federal states have been invited to the 38th Treffen junger Autor*innen.

The selection for the 40th Treffen junge Musikszene has been made! The selection for the Treffen junge Musikszene was preceded by a nationwide competition. Now the jury has made its selection from the entries: 13 acts, 4 bands and 9 soloists from five federal states have been invited to the 40th Treffen junge Musikszene.

Resistance to social pressure – feminism, rebellion against expectations, responsibility against right-wing social tendencies and the feeling of paralysis in the face of catastrophic events and gloomy prospects for the world: in the productions of the Theatertreffen der Jugend 2023, the view was thrown back into recent history, all the way to antiquity, in order to reflect the everyday realities of life for the young theatre makers.
The Treffen junge Szene hosted by Berliner Festspiele are aimed at young artists between the ages of 11 and 21 who are active in the fields of theatre, dance, music and literature. The meetings of the winners of the previous national contests in Berlin present the artistic work of the young generation are an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, for development and for self-reflection.
