Depart

The members of the trio Depart are internationally experienced musicians: Besides performing in the Vienna Art Orchestra at various times, Heiri Känzig and Harry Sokal played in Art Farmer’s quintet and Zurich native Jojo Mayer established contact with American musicians like James ‘Blood’ Ulmer, George Adams or legendary funkrock band The Screaming Headless Torsos.

One of the most sought-after festival bands from 1985 to 1994 the reunion of Depart in 2005 marked their comeback to an eclectic mixture of jazz and Alpine music blending American and European influences.
