Radio.String.Quartet

Ample supply in stringed instruments – John McLaughlin on double neck guitar, Rick Laird on bass, Jerry Goodman on violin and more strings in the process – the Mahavishnu Orchestra lends itself to the string quartet. Having set standards in electric jazz the band acts as model for the Viennese Radio String Quartet. Their background in jazz and contemporary music an ideal prerequisite they are not merely copying the originals but adding emphatic details.
