Ola Tomaszewska Nonet

Under the sponsorship of pianist Vladyslav Sendecki, the foundation ‘My Polish Heart’ supports young and highly gifted musicians. Both criteria match Aleksandra ‘Ola’ Tomaszewska. The “Polish Maria Schneider of the young generation” is not only the trust’s first awardee, in 2009 she was also the winner of the prestigeous Krzysztof Komeda Composers’ Competition (Konkurs Kompozytorski im. Krzysztofa Komedy), part of the ‘Komeda Jazz Festival’ which is being held in Słupsk, Poland each November since 1995. The festival and the competition are dedicated to the memory of the Polish musician Krzysztof Komeda.
