Rabih Lahouds Masaa

Singer Rabih Lahoud is of Lebanese origin but is residing in Germany since ten years where he has been working with the likes of Markus Stockhausen and Florian Weber. His artistic interest revolves around the topic “encounters” and in his highly emotional vocals worlds do meet; young and old, east and west, foreign and familiar.
He has named his quartet after the Arabic word for evening: “Masaa is the most poetic time of the day. No matter if orient or occident – the evening always reverberates with the events of the day. Four musicians meet as congenial partners and play stories of beauty: dark, bitter-sweet, menacing, meditative, euphoric, swaying.”
