Albert Mangelsdorff Prize 2025
for Lauren Newton

Vocalist and composer Lauren Newton is this year’s recipient of the Albert Mangelsdorff Prize, awarded by the German Jazz Union for her lifetime achievement and services to jazz in Germany.
In addition to the award ceremony of the German Jazz Union, a concert with the prizewinner and French double bassist Joëlle Léandre will be part of Jazzfest Berlin.
The event is open to the public, admission is free. Further information on registration will be announced on 1 October.
