During the festival, Berlin-based artists and international filmmakers are collaborating on an art film shot at Gropius Bau, the former Berlin-Tegel Airport, and various locations in Moabit as part of the Jazzfest Community Film Lab. More than 60 participants are involved, including musicians from the Moabit Imaginarium community ensemble, children from the ImproLabs, and performers from Theater X.

The film will premiere in Berlin at some point next year and deals with questions of belonging, with dreams and traumas, as well as with dystopias and utopias.

In this artist talk, several of the 11 members of the creative team, who have been collaboratively involved in the film’s development since early September, will discuss the project’s evolution, the progress of filming, and noteworthy artistic encounters and challenges
