Concert | Alpine Music ↔ Town Music
Nowadays, the subject-matter of alpine music ↔ urban music can no longer be programmatic in the sense of a naturalist realisation of sounds. What is it that triggers sonic fantasies and musical imaginations? – Nature as an immediate event, as a sudden appearance and disappearance of life in a comprehensive sense, while facing the mountains (Klaus Ospald). The encounter with new and unused linguistic material not yet worn out by traditional recipes (Heinz Holliger). – A momentary impression put into lyrics (Mischa Käser). – Or to return to an almost forgotten way of singing, the monody, the individual singing, as a guideline for the construction of sonic textures and structures (Georg Friedrich Haas).
