Concert

Stefano Gervasoni, Ensemble Modern

COM QUE VOZ

COM QUE VOZ, the new work by Italian composer Stefano Gervasoni, is a full-length concert juxtaposing traditional Portuguese history and the culture of “classical” contemporary music. 24 songs with instrumental interludes, including historical reconstructions and new arrangements of ‘Fados’ after Amália Rodrigues and songs after sonnets by Luís Vaz de Camões, are interpreted by Portuguese Fado singer Cristina Branco and baritone Frank Wörner. Between nostalgia and utopia – melancholy tones and a captivating precision determine the intimate musical expressivity of this fascinating cycle.
