Concert | Image Music
Licht-Zeiten brings together some extremely remarkable artists. Originally from Thun and now living in Berlin, the composer, percussionist and improviser Michael Wertmüller is one of the most radical and simultaneously versatile ambassadors of new, contemporary music. The expressivity of his concerts and the complexity of his agitative works challenge musicians and audiences alike. Lillevan, one of the most interesting animation, video and media artists, who became known as one of the founding members of the audiovisual act Rechenzentrum, has worked with many artists from a wide spectrum of genres from opera to installation, from minimal, electronic experimental works to dance and classical music. In the process he has developed a captivating and unmistakable visual language. With Steamboat Switzerland, the intoxicating trio featuring bass guitar, percussion and Hammond organ that have shaped “avantcore” like no other band, and the emerging ensemble courage from Dresden, two groups combine their very different playing styles and experience in one composition – a unique experiment.
