Concert | Schule machen: QuerKlang
Experimentelles Komponieren in der Schule
“Querklang” has been bringing pupils and their teachers together with contemporary composers and music students from the Universität der Künste since 2002 and provides a context, locations and the time for them to work on a composition together.
All 20 works produced until now display an independent aesthetic. Inspired by the working method of the participating composers, the pupils find their own approach to experimental sounds, with which they develop a piece as a whole class that they will perform within the context of MaerzMusik. The premieres of these compositions have established themselves over the years as a little festival highlight.
Just as in previous years, five pieces that have been accomplished over the last six months will be premiered as part of MaerzMusik this year.
World premieres of group compositions by pupils accompanied by Ketan Bhatti, Sascha Dragićević, Mayako Kubo, Makiko Nishikaze and Héctor Moro, music teachers of the schools and students of the UdK Berlin
