Concert | Sonic Arts Lounge
The photographer, video and installation artist Beat Streuli and the saxophonist Christoph Gallio already worked together in the 1980s. ROAD WORKS is the fourth collaborative work by these two artists, in which they engage in an interplay of visual and acoustic perception on the threshold between composition and improvisation.
In this piece, layers and sequences of elements of free improvisation and strict composition activate the musical consciousness and memory and set free new imaginations with their vitality. Imaginations that feed on the immediacy of the visual language and sound scape of daily life. An affirmation of fresh sensuality and open aesthetic communication.
