Concert
Sara Glojnarić / Sergej Newski / Laura Bowler
ensemble mosaik © Anja Weber
The ensemble mosaik seeks out the wild, the untamed, painful memories and the defects of the present. A concert where sweating is permitted.
The composer Sergej Newski and the video artist Oleg Mikhailov take us back to the Berlin of the 1990s in their project “Memory”. Footage from amateur videos including the Love Parade and private parties is used to create a shimmering and unsettling image of that hedonistic time.
In her “sugarcoating” cycle, Sara Glojnarić works with the sound fetishes of pop music. Music is generated from a data bank containing over one million pop songs whose density and aggressive precision makes it unique. Direct and breathtakingly fast.
Laura Bowler is a composer, performer and provocateur. She can be experienced in Berlin for the first time. The work “FFF” is one she wrote for herself and it demonstrates all her abilities: an intense virtuosic score, a vocal performance in between singing and screaming – and garish videos. Come and be provoked!
