Stage special: Concert with Marie Diot

Marie Didot is a singer-songwriter from Hannover. She writes and sings her own songs with unusual German lyrics and plays piano and synths. Her concerts are a combination of oddball, funny intros and songs that tell charming, candid stories about every-day life. Some of it is melancholy, some of it is funny – like her hair-style, for example. Her musical roots lie in punk-rock and the “Hamburger Schule”. Or something like that. Generally optimistic, as laid-back as possible, always looking for the right words and the best melody, hoping to touch someone - and otherwise obviously pretty random. It always turns out alright in the end! The only question is: How? But that’s okay.

Award winner at the 2014 Treffen junge Musik-Szene; participant in the “Nahaufnahme” of the 2015 Treffen junge Musik-Szene. In 2017, Marie Didot released her album “Pinguin im Tutu – Weiß nicht, ob er Tänzer ist”.
