Treffen junge Musikszene in the Media Library

<p>The Treffen junge Musikszene offers young musicians a platform to present their self-written, lyricized or self-produced music. In addition to public concerts, the Treffen creates a creative space in which the prize-winners can further develop their musical signature in intensive workshops, receive tips and knowledge from professionals for their work, and get to know each other, exchange ideas and jam together.</p>

<p>Award Winners of Treffen junge Musikszene</p>


<p>A highlight of the Treffen junge Musik-Szene is the public concert of the award winners. Due to the Corona pandemic, it was not possible for the twelve acts selected by the jury to present their work live in front of an audience in 2021. Instead, the young musicians had the opportunity to record their selected songs in professional studio sessions.</p>

Treffen junge Musikszene is a platform for talented young musicians who combine their own lyrics with their own music. Each year, they are selected by a jury as part of a nationwide contest.

The Berliner Festspiele organise a range of festivals and art exhibitions, concerts, dance and theatre performances, readings, lectures, debates and much more throughout the year. These events are presented at a range of locations across Berlin but are concentrated primarily at their own two venues: the Gropius Bau and the Haus der Berliner Festspiele.

<p>Considered one of the key works of modernism, it is a hundred years after the genesis of Igor Stravinsky&rsquo;s &ldquo;Le Sacre du Printemps&rdquo; that Sasha Waltz takes on the Mariinsky Theatre&rsquo;s offer to engage with this extraordinary piece of musical and dance history. Its title translates to &ldquo;The Rite of Spring&rdquo;.&nbsp;For this evening, it is accompanied by the &ldquo;Sc&egrave;ne d&rsquo;Amour&rdquo; from &ldquo;Rom&eacute;o et Juliette&rdquo; by Hector Berlioz and her choreography &ldquo;L&rsquo;Apr&egrave;s-midi d&rsquo;un faune&rdquo; to the music of Claude Debussy.</p>

The 10 Remarkable Productions 2024

<p>On 26 January, the Theatertreffen&rsquo;s jury of critics announced their selection of 10 remarkable productions for the 2024 Theatertreffen at a press conference. Our congratulations go to the nominated production teams and all participants! The programme will be published on 5 April.</p>


Theatertreffen 2024

<p>&ldquo;Radical Playgrounds&rdquo;, an art parcours at the Gropius Bau, is spending eleven weeks exploring the differences between the concepts of play as competition and free play. Visitors are invited to walk and climb on the various installations and sculptures, to activate them and to shape the project collectively.</p>

<p>Ren&eacute; Pollesch provided unforgettable moments at the Theatertreffen in 2002 with the invitation to his &ldquo;Prater-Trilogie&rdquo; parts 1 to 3 and in 2012 with &quot;Kill your Darlings! Streets of Berladelphia for unforgettable moments at the Theatertreffen, for which we are deeply grateful. Ren&eacute; Pollesch died suddenly and unexpectedly on 26 February at the age of 61. The 3sat recording of &ldquo;Kill your Darlings! Streets of Berladelphia&rdquo; is available in our media library until 27&nbsp;May 2024.</p>

<p>Berlin is known for its numerous &ldquo;Spielpl&auml;tze&rdquo; for kids, but the project &ldquo;Radical Playgrounds&rdquo; is a place where play gets serious.&nbsp;It arrives at Gropius Hain for eleven weeks like an itinerant, temporary funfair: both melancholic and light-hearted, sad and joyful, funny and serious.&nbsp;</p>
