Concert | Fluxus – Defluxus
Anton Lukoszevieze, director of the British ensemble Apartment House, has dedicated himself to the “pursuit of the ordinary,” the investigation of elementary artistic, compositional and performative strategies. He finds what he is looking for in pieces created in the context of Fluxus and its younger heirs. At MaerzMusik, Apartment House combines a classic of the genre, George Brecht's collection of event scores ‘Water Yam’ (1959-63), with more recent works by American and British composers, including a world premiere by the old master Philip Corner, who turns seventy this year.
