Ingrid Caven / Pierre Henry
Ingrid Caven's stage performance at MaerzMusik promises to be a very special event. The celebrated chanteuse, actress and former muse of Rainer Werner Fassbinder explores ‘shadow zones’ – fragments and images from her life – through song, speech and performance. The audio play and live version are based on the novel Ingrid Caven by her partner Jean-Jacques Schuhl, which won the French Critics' Prize (Prix Goncourt 2000). The richly visual soundtrack was composed by Pierre Henry, co-founder of Musique Concrète, whom the techno movement named the ‘father of DJ culture’. Ingrid Caven will appear in a costume by Parisian fashion designer Azzedine AlaÏa. Under the direction of renowned artist Salomé, the stage will be transformed into a light stage on which the dazzling and versatile figure of Caven will perform scenes from her life.
Skurrile Szenen sind verkettelt. Eine Rollschuhfahrerin hält sich an einem Lastwagen fest und schreit „tatü tata“. Eine altmodische Foxtrott-Melodie ertönt in einer futuristischen Bar. Eine Sitzbadewanne im Chelsea-Hotel blitzt auf. Ein kleines Mädchen singt „Stille Nacht“ vor Wehrmachtsoffizieren. Im Jahr 2000 blickt ein Paar von der Terrasse eines New Yorker Cafés auf den Hudson. Orte von der Ostseeküste über Saarbrücken, München und New York bis nach Paris werden gestreift. Figuren wie Homer, Baudelaire, Tristan Tzara, Captain Haddock, Odysseus, Goethe und Rainer Werner Fassbinder tauchen auf und verschwinden unvermittelt, genauso wie Lieder und Klänge der Lebens.
„Geschichten, Alltag, burleske Episoden, die das Übrige einrahmen. Dazwischen ist so etwas wie ein weißer Fleck auf der Landkarte, eine unerforschte, namenlose, sogar unbenennbare Gegend oder eine dunkle Zone im Gehirn, die man nicht eingestehen kann..., eine Schattenzone.“
