Three concerts will present world premieres of group compositions by pupils
Accompanied by teams each consisting of a teacher, a composer and a university student, they investigate sounds, arrange them into compositions and share their discoveries with the public. Thereby, QuerKlang brings together three different working environments, the world of the school, of university education and that of professional musicians and composers and thrives on the tensions between those worlds.

Since 15 years, the QuerKlang project premieres group compositions by Berlin school pupils as part of MaerzMusik. World premieres of group compositions by pupils of Rosa-Parks-Grundschule (Kreuzberg), Grundschule unter dem Regenbogen (Marzahn), Parzival-Schule (Zehlendorf), Heinrich-Böll-Oberschule (Spandau), Friedrich-Ebert-Gymnasium (Wilmersdorf) – accompanied by their music teachers as well as Genoël von Lilienstern, Silvia Ocougne, Naomi Pinnock, Amir Shpilman, Ute Wassermann and student of the UdK Berlin and the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin
