Now in its fourth year, the Library of MaerzMusik is open throughout the festival as a space for collective reflection, facilitating encounters between artists, musicians and visitors. Open to the public free of charge, it offers a setting for the co-existence and exchange of knowledge(s), while enabling new and shared experiences.
This year’s Library edition hosts Wolke Verlag in a collaborative format. In this context, four events are presented as part of the MaerzMusik x Wolke Library programme, including readings, screenings, and workshops. Developed together with Wolke Verlag, the Library becomes a temporary venue in which discourse, performance and listening intersect.
Across talks, workshops, screenings and performances, artists, writers and musicians explore how music circulates not only through sound, but also through texts, spoken word and shared forms of reflection. The programme highlights the role of discourse in shaping contemporary musical thought, positioning the Library as a space where artistic practice and critical writing come together.
As part of the festival, the MaerzMusik x Wolke Library invites visitors to engage with printed materials, conversations and sonic experiments, tracing the ways in which music continues to generate knowledge, exchange and community.
