Library of MaerzMusik
with Louis Chude-Sokei and Jan St. Werner
Louis Chude-Sokei and Jan St. Werner have a long history of working together. In this conversation, they will delve into their collaborative process that unfolds through conversation and improvisation rather than predetermined composition, forming an ongoing feedback loop between voice, theory, and sound. Louis Chude-Sokei’s work engages with Black technopoetics, which Jan St. Werner translates and extends through electronic sound processes. Together they will reflect on how their practices meet, interact, and complement one another.
Among their numerous projects are the AAI album, various performances, publications, and installations, the project Sometimes You Just Have to Give It Your Attention, and collaborations connected to the Venice Biennale.
