
Kristina Kusmina Dreit is an artist, director and researcher, born in Kazakhstan. Her interdisciplinary approach spans performance, installation, and film, and is often presented in theatres, galleries, museums, and public spaces. Kristina Kusmina Dreit is particularly interested in the intersections of body, class, and gender.
Together with her sister Karolina Dreit, she founded the transdisciplinary collective Working Class Daughters and published the book “Working Class Daughters: Talking about Class” in 2024 with Mandelbau Verlag. The book consists of interviews they have conducted since 2017 with friends and acquaintances about working conditions and class issues.
Kristina Kusmina Dreit studied Critical Studies and Performative Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Dramaturgy at Zurich University of the Arts, and Scenic Arts and Cultural Studies at the University of Hildesheim.
