Johannes Büchs

Johannes Büchs is the presenter of Die Sendung mit der Maus while also hosting his own show Kann es Johannes? for eight years as well as neuneinhalb, ARD’s children’s programme on social and political issues. He is a recipient of multiple Grimme Prize nominations, the German Nutrition Society’s Prize for Journalism and Environmental Action and Germany’s Media Prize. The format he co-devised Kann es Johannes? has also been awarded the Golden Sparrow. As a child, Büchs learned to play both the viola and the piano. This gave him an increasing respect for professional musicians, so he now takes great appreciation and pleasure in presenting classical concerts, primarily for children and young people. Alongside his role as a journalist, Büchs also works as a communications mentor, training leading executives in presentation, storytelling and media skills.
