Alexei Lubimov

Born in 1944 in Moscow, the pianist Alexei Lubimov is an interpreter of historic keyboard instruments as well as contemporary music. In 1968, Alexei Lubimov was one of the first musicians to dare to perform works by John Cage and Terry Riley in the Soviet Union. Since moving to the West in 1987, the pianist has regularly performed with leading conductors and orchestras. He has recorded a number of CDs.
