Lara Alarcón

Lara Alarcón is a vocal artist, composer and curator from La Plata, Argentina based in Berlin. Her work has a wide projection. She works and performs in vocal art, noise/extreme music as well as contemporary electroacoustic and multimedia music. She can be found on stages across Europe, South America and Asia. She is currently active with her project VQ, a platform for expanded solo performance with an outlet that crosses electronic music, vocal art, chorale pop fantasy and harsh noise. She also tours and performs with GORZ, an electronic noise rock, experimental hardcore and cutecore band.

She performed in venues and at festivals such as Musica Estranha and Novas Frequencias in Brazil, Klangwerkstatt Berlin and Staatstheater Kassel in Germany, Jazzwerkstatt Bern and Neubad in Switzerland, Primavera Noise in Argentina, Jogja Noise Bombing in Indonesia, POOL in Japan among others.

She co-founded the label Numeral based between Argentina and Switzerland, in which she curates albums and events in the edgy field of experimental music and promotes Latin American artists.
