Kool Thing
Irishwoman Julie Chance and Australian Jane Arnison aka Jon Dark met in 2011 at the counter of a Parisian cellar bar and at once founded the power-pop band Kool Thing, named after a Sonic Youth song. Their steadily pulsating beats and psychedelic-sounding synth sounds are accompanied by furious drums played by Valentin Plessy. Over past years, they have played gigs together with Light Asylum, Austra, Handsome Furs, Maria Minerva and Simonne Jones, among others.
