
Rodrigo Zorzanelli (*1992 in São Paulo) is a freelance performing artist based in Berlin. They work performatively, anthropologically and autofictionally with themes such as non-binarity, invisible structures, drag, bureaucracy, photography and belonging.
In 2024, Rodrigo Zorzanelli celebrated their directorial and authorial debut with the solo performance "multiple memberships" at Ballhaus Ost. For the development of this piece, Rodrigo Zorzanelli did a residency at HELLERAU (Dresden) as well as the artistic research "bureaucratimacy" (WABE Basel, CH, 2023).
As a performer, Rodrigo Zorzanelli has appeared on stage at Uferstudios ("Social Muscle Club" 2022-2024), the English Theatre Berlin ("à flor da pele", 2022) and Ballhaus Naunynstraße ("Queer & Quer", 2019). Artistic collaborations with She She Pop, Alisa Tretau, Theresa Reiwer and KMZ Kollektiv have led to productions at HAU Hebbel am Ufer and Schaubude Berlin.
Rodrigo Zorzanelli studied Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin and Global Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences in Buenos Aires and Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.
