theatre maker, dragking, puppeteer
Zoé Lohmann is the person behind the shiny or sometimes mossy façade of her drag persona “Alexander Cameltoe.” They studied Sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design in the USA and completed a master’s degree in Spiel & Objekt at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, but her artistic career has developed over the last ten years mainly through the drag shows and nightclubs of Berlin. She now works as an internationally touring drag performer, event producer, theatre writer and director. Her productions range from interactive game shows and immersive eco-cabarets to interdisciplinary fever dreams about the world’s first non-human influencer.
In her work as a drag king and genderfuck performer, she plays with different forms of masculinity, moving between the extremes of the gender spectrum. Her persona, Alexander Cameltoe, exists on a scale between fuckboi and cute himbo, aristocrat and scumbag, high art and cheap trash, humanoid robot and mushroom-like alien. Alexander Cameltoe is an artistic playground, a pseudonym under which a new story, a new character, and a new transformation takes place with each performance. However, the common thread in this labyrinth will always be a fascination with humans, the monstrous, the natural world, and the pursuit of realising a world that is yet to come.
