Carmen Steinert

Carmen Steinert was born in Graz, Austria, in 1994 and already enjoyed acting in theatre in kindergarten. She lived in Halle/Saale, Upper Austria and Vienna before returning to Graz in 2013 to study acting at the University of the Arts. In 2016, she and her class won the Max Reinhardt Prize at the national competition for German-speaking drama students in Bern. In 2017, Cornelia Crombholz brought her back to Saxony-Anhalt to Magdeburg Theatre, where she was awarded the Förderpreis des Fördervereins Theater Magdeburg in 2019 and was a member of the ensemble until 2024. In the same year, the production “Blutbuch” won the audience award at the Radikal jung festival in Munich.
