Ralph Tharayil

Ralph Tharayil, born in Switzerland in 1986, writes radio plays, theatre texts as well as poetry and prose that has appeared in literary magazines and anthologies and has received several awards - including the LCB’s Werkstatt-Stipendium, first prize for prose at the 25th open mike and a working scholarship from the Berlin Senate. In cooperation with the Kaserne Basel, he recently developed the autofictional dance performance “Keshava / Tharayil”, which celebrated its premiere in June. In 2021, he will be a fellow at the Akademie der Künste Berlin with his novel project, and in the coming season he will be a fellow at the Institute for Digital Drama at the Nationaltheater Mannheim. Ralph Tharayil lives in Berlin.
