
Amanda Donato is a Toronto-born, Berlin-based choreographer, performer, director and teacher. Her work explores cognitive patterns, migrational histories, relationship to environment and contradictions of human experience. She merges classical dance approaches with both theoretical frameworks and instinctual practices, working across live stage and film mediums. Donato has performed at Rewire Festival (The Hague), CTM Festival (Berlin), and Sónar Festival (Barcelona) with KDV Performance Group, as well as at Theater Des Westens (Kianí Del Valle and Y-3), Halle am Berghain (Candela Capitán and UY Studio), Atelier Gardens (FMKF Collective) and Kühlhaus Berlin (THE FAIREST). She has also presented work with Wehrmuehle and premiered her debut full-length solo “A WAKE” in 2024 at Uferstudios Berlin. Donato holds a BA in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University.
