
Shin-Young Lee is an internationally acclaimed artist of rare distinction. Her performances are marked by a deep spiritual and musical commitment, through which she forges a powerful connection with her audiences. Equally distinctive is the originality of her programming, which frequently brings together core organ repertoire and imaginative transcriptions.
She has appeared in leading concert halls across five continents, including the Philharmonie de Paris, Auditorium de Radio France, Philharmonie Berlin, Göteborgs Konserthus, Müpa Budapest, Madrid Auditorio Nacional, Dallas Meyerson Symphony Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Maison symphonique de Montréal, Seoul Sejong Art Concert Hall, Moscow Zaryadye Hall, and the Gulangyu Organ Museum in China.
Shin-Young Lee is regularly invited to perform as a soloist with orchestra. In June 2024, she participated in the AGO (American Guild of Organists) National Convention in San Francisco, where she performed Samuel Barber’s Toccata Festiva and Emma Lou Diemer’s Organ Concerto. Her festival appearances include the Lahti Organ Festival, Festival Musica, Bødø Festival, Festival International de Chartres, the Festival of Sacred Arts in Reykjavík, Festival Bach de Montréal, the Haarlem Organ Festival, and Toulouse les Orgues.
Alongside her performing career, Shin-Young Lee is deeply committed to musical education. She is frequently invited to give masterclasses and to serve on juries of international competitions, finding particular fulfillment in sharing her experience and passion with the next generation of musicians. In this spirit, she was a guest artist at Yale University in the fall of 2024.
A passionate advocate of transcription, Shin-Young Lee regularly enriches the organ repertoire through both commissions and personal initiatives. Her transcriptions include works by Bach, Saint-Saëns, Borodin, Ravel, and Prokofiev. Among her most recent projects is her transcription of Camille Saint-Saëns’ Le Carnaval des Animaux, published by the renowned house Schott and featured in a video recording made on the organ of Radio France, available on YouTube.
Born into a musical family, Shin-Young Lee began her musical education at an early age. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Yonsei University before continuing her studies at the Schola Cantorum and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she graduated with the highest honors.
