
Uli Aumüller trained as a sound technician and studied Biology and Modern German Literature (writing his Master's thesis about the Silesian high Baroque poet Daniel Caspar von Lohenstein). After graduating, he first worked in theatres (Munich, Landshut, Bruchsal, Mühlheim an der Ruhr) and then on radio drama for numerous broadcasters. Since relocating to Berlin at the beginning of the nineties, he has become an independent author and director of radio features on contemporary music, including more than 250 broadcasts of 30 minutes or more for DS-Kultur, Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandradio Berlin, BR, HR, MDR, WDR, SWR, SFB and SR. Since 1993 he has also produced features for television (ARTE, BR, WDR, SWR, RBB).
