Gina Giuliana Penzkofer

As assistant to Barbara Mundel, she prepared her directorship at the Münchner Kammerspiele. From 2020 to 2022, she was artistic production manager for international co-productions and city projects (including “What is the City but the People?” directed by Richard Gregory) and mediated between theatre theory and practice as a lecturer at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. For the project “TURBOVOLK3000” (concept, text & dramaturgy), she first received a research grant and then the debut grant from the City of Munich. 

In her work, Gina Penzkofer focuses on how encounters can be staged in order to bring urban society and theatre into a performative exchange and how unheard stories can be made visible.
