Thierry Mousset

Thierry Mousset (*1992) is a film and theater director. He studied in Cambridge, Menton and at UC Berkeley as a Fulbright scholar. His staging of the play “South” by Julien Green was shown at the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg and the Deutsches Theater Berlin. As a dramaturg, he worked the adaptation of David Foster Wallace’s “Infinite Jest” (Theatertreffen 2019) and “Verrückt nach Trost” (Crazy for Consolation; Salzburg Festival, New York Times – Top 10 of 2023).
In his film work, Mousset explores narrative and experimental forms, often engaging with questions of perception, language and memory. His short films have been screened at Filmfest Dresden 2025 and were part of the award-winning series “Quickies” (Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis for Best New Media Project).
He is currently developing a bilingual reinterpretation of Chekhov’s “The Seagull” (in French and Luxembourgish), and writes a new short film.
