Nicolas Wackerbarth

Nicolas Wackerbarth is a director and author. He studied film directing at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin and acting at the Bayerische Theaterakademie Munich. He worked as an actor at Schauspiel Frankfurt in 1996/97 and was a member of the Municipal Theatre of Cologne’ acting company from 1997 to 2000. Since 2004, he has curated and moderated the film discussion series “Revolver Live!” at Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Berlin. He has been teaching at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin, Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig and Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung in Karlsruhe. Nicolas Wackerbarth is the editor of the film magazine “Revolver” and has published various pieces of film criticism. He lives in Berlin.
