Bohdan Sehin, born in Borshchiv in 1976, is a composer, music manager and producer. He studied composition at the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy and in Krakow und Warsaw. Sehin was a scholar of the Warsaw Autumn Friends Foundation (2003) and the recipient of a Gulliver Connect scholarship (2008) and a scholarship from the President of the Ukraine (2008–2010). He received compositional impulses from figures including Arvo Pärt, Beat Furrer and Yuval Shaked. His symphonic, choral, chamber music and theatre works have been performed in numerous European countries, the USA and China. He is a member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine, artistic director of the Festival Contrasts in Lviv and the founder of the international masterclass COURSE and the Ukrainian Biennale for New Music. He has been Commercial Director of Development of New Music at the Myroslav Skoryk Lviv National Philharmonic since 2012 and Executive Secretary der Lviv organisation of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine since 2020. He has taught composition at the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Academy of Music since 2023 and was appointed as the musical director of the First Ukrainian Theater for Children and Youth in Lviv in 2024.
