Christina Sidak

Christina Sidak was born in Vienna. She passed her studies in singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with distinction. She has successfully completed numerous master classes, including those of Brigitte Fassbaender, Christa Ludwig and Helmut Deutsch. In 2011 Christina Sidak was the award-winner of the Heinrich Strecker Singing Competition. Her artistic career has led to commissions at the Volksoper Vienna, the Stadttheater Baden near Wien and the Neue Oper Wien at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, where she first started the 2013/14 season as a fellowship holder, and has was taken on as a permanent member of the ensemble in autumn 2014. Besides opera stage singing, Christina Sidak is also a keen devotee of lieder.
