Concert | Visiting Ensembles
The four works in this programme together trace a large arch. Hans Werner Henze’s string sonata is dedicated to a country where he found refuge, Henri Dutilleux reflects upon the mystery of the moment and Peter van Onna makes musical observations on the gothic arch. Harrison Birtwistle closes the series with an “Endless Parade” inspired by a carnival procession.
