Hofesh Shechter is one of the most exciting artists in the contemporary dance scene. With his energetic, powerful choreographies, combined with his own soundscapes that at times reach the volume of a rock concert, he creates universes that are at once brutally raw and delicately beautiful. “Grand Finale” is Shechter’s first collaboration with designer Tom Scutt and the score includes works by Franz Lehár and Pyotr Tchaikovsky as well as his own music.

His Hofesh Shechter Company, founded in 2008, has performed at Berliner Festspiele several times, presenting shows like “PoliticalMother: The Choreographer’s Cut” (2012), “Sun” (2014) and “barbarians” (2015).
