NAHAUFNAHME: Stéphane Braunschweig. Alexander Verlag 2006

Everything is Ghosts in Ibsen’s bitter and nasty horror drama about the prodigal son Osvald, the black sun of a mother’s love and the truths that finally come to light, an orphanage that burns to the ground and a carpenter who seems capable of anything. And life, which is not made any more bearable by its own truths. This production by the young French director Stéphane Braunschweig, a master of subtle hints and allusions, was invited to the Ibsen festival in Oslo and will now be exclusively performed again for spielzeiteuropa 06 | 07 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Henrik Ibsen’s death 2006 in the Haus der Berliner Festspiele.
