Patricia Detmering: Aporia

Complex algorithms enable the avatars to explore their surroundings and deliberately engage in individual actions, with one part of them following a stricter principle of order, while another part tends to open up. When a stranger appears, groups are formed and leaders are appointed. The dynamics unfolding now, which are based on Elias Canetti’s poetic crowd theory, are the central subject of this work, whose award-winning VR template was adapted for Fulldome presentation.
