Treffen junger Autor*innen
Inspiration included: Young authors and the young musicians come together
A total of 13 musical acts — including four bands, two duos and seven solo performers — will come to Berlin from 19 to 24 November as award winners of the 42nd Treffen junge Musikszene. A day later, they will be joined by 21 other talented young people who have been selected by the jury as award winners of the 40th Treffen junger Autor*innen.
From 20 to 23 November, the Haus der Berliner Festspiele will host concerts, readings, talks and performances by the prize-winning authors and musicians, open to the public. In addition, a variety of workshops and coaching sessions will provide safe spaces where the young artists can meet, inspire one another and, with professional support from experienced workshop leaders, be encouraged to further develop their personal artistic expression.
Treffen junger Autor*innen in the Media Library
Shortly after the reading at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, this and other events from Treffen junger Autor*innen will be available in the media library until November 2026.
The young authors write about very personal situations and relationships, from issues of social and emotional integration to family histories and everyday observations, to questions about the global situation, politics, the climate, and social or economic injustice.

The Treffen junger Autor*innen offers young writers a platform on which they can present their texts, thus creating attention for their concerns, topics and points of view. At the same time, the meeting opens up a protected space in which the young artists can meet, inspire each other, and be encouraged to further develop their personal artistic expression through the professional guidance of experienced authors and workshop leaders.
The Treffen junger Autor*innen is part of the Treffen junge Szene of the Berliner Festspiele.
