A total of 103 ensembles from all 16 federal states applied with their productions for the 47th Theatertreffen der Jugend 2026. The applicants developed their productions in a wide range of school settings; there were collaborations between schools and theatres, and submissions from youth clubs at municipal and state theatres, children’s and youth theatres, independent groups based in youth cultural centres and associations, as well as community theatre initiatives.
Our sincere thanks go to all ensembles and young theatre-makers who applied this year with their inspiring productions. The jury viewed the submitted works with great interest and genuine enthusiasm.
After extensive viewing and discussion, the expert jury has now made its interim selection of 16 productions from 9 federal states:
