Raphael Moussa Hillebrand is a choreographer, dancer, curator, speaker and activist born in Hong Kong in 1982. With roots in Germany and West Africa, raised in Berlin and trained in hip-hop, he completed his master's degree in choreography at the Berlin University of the Arts – Inter-University Centre for Dance in June 2014. As the creative force and founding member of the world's first hip-hop party, Die Urbane, he is committed to decolonisation, empowerment and cultural diversity, among other things. In 2020, he was honoured by the German Dance Award for his outstanding artistic developments in dance.
