Christoph Möllers

Christoph Möllers is Professor of Public Law and Legal Philosophy at Humboldt University of Berlin and will assume the position of Rector of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities in September 2026. His research focuses on German and European constitutional law as well as the theory of social norms. As an expert witness, he has frequently contributed to debates on academic and artistic freedom. Among his recent publications are Unverbindlicher Eigensinn: Über die Freiheiten und die Unfreiheit der Kunst (Munich, 2025), Öffentliche Kunstfreiheit (Berlin, 2026, with Nils Weinberg), and Autoritäre Bedrohungen der Wissenschaftsfreiheit (Göttingen, 2026, with Max Lenz and Nils Weinberg).
