Ed Atkins

The British artist Ed Atkins lives and works in Berlin and Copenhagen. Influenced by questions of representation, his time-based work is characterised by the interplay of text overlaid onto arrangements of contemporary images from the repertoire of media image production. Recent solo exhibitions include KIASMA, Helsinki, K21 of the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Düsseldorf, Kunsthaus Bregenz, the Gropius Bau, Berlin, the Museum für Moderne Kunst MMK, Frankfurt, Castello di Rivoli, Turin, The Kitchen, New York, SMK, Copenhagen, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Serpentine Gallery, London, the Palais de Tokyo, Paris and MoMA PS1, New York. The New Museum, New York, is currently showing the solo exhibition ‘Ed Atkins: Get Life/Love’s Work’ which runs until October 2021.
