Peter R. Neumann

Peter R. Neumann is Professor of Security Studies at King’s College London and a Senior Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institution (RUSI), the world's oldest think tank on security and defence. He founded the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) and served as its Director from 2008 to 2018. Neumann has published widely on issues related to security and geopolitics, including The New World Disorder (Scribe, 2023), and Bluster: Donald Trump’s War on Terror (Oxford University Press, 2020). As well as being involved in research and writing, he has advised political leaders, Western governments and international institutions, such as the EU and the UN, and served as OSCE Special Representative in 2017. Over the course of his career, he has been a visiting or adjunct professor at Sciences Po (Lyon), Georgetown University, the University of Oxford, and the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
