Matthias Dell

Matthias Dell works as a freelance theatre, film and media critic for Deutschlandradio. On zeit.de, he publishes the Obduktionsbericht, a weekly review of the latest Tatort and Polizeiruf episodes. He also writes for Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung (FAS), Tagesspiegel, Cargo and others. Most recently, Frankfurter Buntbuch No. 72 was published: Peter Hacks auf der Fenne in Groß Machnow (1974–2003). In 2026 he curates the Theatertreffen’s discourse programme on aesthetic and socio‑political questions for the first time, taking inspiration from the 10 most remarkable productions.
