Astrid Petzoldt

Theatre educator, lecturer, trainer in political education, and passionate networker. Since completing her degree in theatre education at the Berlin University of the Arts in 2005, she has worked in permanent positions at theatres, most recently from 2012 to 2024 as part of the Gorki X team at the Maxim Gorki Theatre. Her areas of focus include performance mediation, cooperative concepts between theatre and schools, formats of audience interaction, and artistic-political education. She currently combines her freelance work as a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts with her role at Gesicht Zeigen! e.V. for a cosmopolitan Germany, where she leads the department for training and educational materials and works, among other things, on the topics of diversity and civic education.
